As we grow, we're looking for a skilled QA Engineer to own end-to-end quality across our mobile and backend stack and ML. This is a hands-on role with real scope - you'll be building the testing foundation from scratch, working directly with a small but impactful engineering team, and making decisions that shape how we ship.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement a testing strategy covering mobile (iOS and Android), backend APIs, and end-to-end user flows.

• Build and maintain automated test suites for regression, functional, and integration testing.

• Define and enforce quality standards and release criteria across the engineering team.

• Collaborate with product and mobile/backend engineers from the earliest stages of feature development - shaping requirements, flagging risks before code is written, and defining acceptance criteria together.

• Set up and maintain QA tooling, test environments, and reporting pipelines.

• Triage and document defects with clear reproduction steps, severity assessments, and impact analysis - translating technical issues into business and user impact to help the team prioritize effectively.

We Expect to See

• Proven experience testing consumer-facing mobile apps (iOS and Android) at scale - understanding the quality bar users expect and the reputational cost of shipping bugs in a consumer product.

• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks

• Strong understanding of API testing and tools such as Postman or REST Assured.

• Comfort working alongside ML/research teams - able to design test strategies for AI-driven features where outputs are non-deterministic, define quality criteria for model behavior, and distinguish between bugs and expected model variance.

• Experience working in CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build workflows.

• Sharp analytical thinking, strong defect documentation habits, and comfort working independently in a fast-moving environment.

• Experience with A/B testing frameworks and gradual rollout strategies - comfortable reasoning about quality in environments where features ship incrementally to subsets of users.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with performance or load testing tools.

• Background in testing real-time or streaming features (audio, video, or live feeds).

• Exposure to AI/ML-driven product surfaces where behavior is probabilistic.
